LED SMT Pick-and-Place Line
Our LED SMT production area is equipped with 14 Hanwha HM520 LED/high-speed machines and 10 Panasonic NPM-D3A machines with dual high-speed placement heads. These 24 machines form eight production lines for different LED module sizes. Five lines are dedicated to outdoor LED modules, matching the strong demand for our outdoor display products.
Each Hanwha HM520 features a dual-gantry design with 20 spindles per head and a manufacturer-rated maximum speed of 80,000 components per hour—approximately 1,333 placements per minute, or 22 per second. Its specified chip placement accuracy of ±25 μm at Cpk ≥ 1.0 supports consistent component positioning. Side-view cameras check nozzle presence and component pickup posture, helping detect placement-related issues, while automatic nozzle changing simplifies production setup.
Our Panasonic NPM-D3A machines feature dual high-speed heads with a combined rated maximum speed of 92,000 components per hour—approximately 1,533 placements per minute, or 26 per second. Lightweight placement heads, a rigid frame, and a component recognition system support fast, controlled positioning. Flexible single- and dual-lane PCB handling also helps accommodate different module formats, while feeder carts allow materials to be prepared offline for efficient production changeovers.
These placement speeds represent manufacturer-rated maximums under optimum conditions. Actual LED placement throughput varies with lamp size, PCB layout, production settings, and material replenishment. By combining these two machine platforms with dedicated production lines, we support efficient manufacturing and consistent LED positioning across different module designs.
